Throughout my life, from my days on childhood sports teams through my adult professions, I have recognized a prominent and outstanding dynamic: teamwork. My company is based on that premise. I often see trade show exhibitors needing insight about how a trade show works. My experience, and desire to bring together the best in the business has directed my path to form Trade Shows Options. I have witnessed, time and time again, how quickly things can fall apart at a show when communication gets lost. The difficulty in juggling both trade show exhibit needs and transacting business is sometimes overwhelming. Coordinating shipping, booth setup, and show services while meeting deadlines can really put a strain on the time that you need to prepare your product presentation and train your staff. My goal is to alleviate those strains. Trade Show Options can be an extension of your business, introducing you to the best the industry has to offer, eliminating weak links and putting together a show plan that represents your company’s best interests.

My professional history covers different industries and different roles, all of which have provided me with tools allowing me to excel. I believe it is my diverse background, from a production manager on a plant floor, to an executive recruiter for a technology company, to a top sales executive for a Fortune 500 company, that gave me the ability to see from different vantage points. Twelve years ago I was introduced to the trade show industry and felt at home. Regardless of the type of business, the key goal for a company attending a trade show is to sell and promote its products and services and build a client base, and that is what Trade Show Options allows them to concentrate on. Trade shows are an avenue to showcase your business, therefore the logistics should not be so consuming as to distract from the key purpose: SALES!

During my tenure as a City Manager for MICE North America, I honed my skills in proper planning and directing a team correctly to avoid any potential setbacks. Traveling all over the country, show after show, I consistently gained knowledge as to what works best for each situation. You would be surprised at how many times I have been told, “I didn’t know that I could do that” by my clients or other exhibitors. Exhibitors need someone on their team who has been involved in all aspects of a trade show and can give them an unbiased opinion about what is best for them and their business.

It was my time as Managing Director of an Installation & Dismantling company where I furthered my industry knowledge and gained a more in depth look at managing trade show clients. This experience has made me more aware of what is available to exhibitors. It’s about choice and finding the right people for the project. Every case may be different or the same, either way we will find the best solution for whatever an exhibitor’s needs may be.

My sales experience has given me the ability to know what goes into making a sale and what it takes to find the right person for the job. This experience helps me have empathy for my clients. I know it’s not easy to sell your company and it’s even harder to find someone who can do it for you. My experience has shown me how to overcome obstacles and take the path of least resistance. I am always looking to improve an existing process to help anticipate pitfalls and maximize productivity. In business, it is always best to confront issues right away and learn from them even quicker. Take experience from others and be open to change paths if necessary. What is best for some may not be best for you so it’s important to have an objective point of view from someone who is experienced in the task at hand. That is the teamwork that I am offering through Trade Show Options.
